Privacy Policy

MADDOG is a DJ app for iPhone and iPad. We do not run accounts or servers for it, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal information. There is no advertising and no analytics or tracking in the app.
What the app uses and why
- Apple Music and media library. With your permission, the app searches and plays music through Apple's MusicKit using your own Apple Music subscription, and can scan music files on your device. This is handled by Apple; the app does not receive your account details.
- Microphone. Used to record your voice drops and for the live mic channel. Audio stays on your device. Recorded drops are stored only in the app's own folder until you delete them.
- Lyrics lookups. To show synced lyrics, the app sends the song's title, artist, album and length to the free lyrics service LRCLIB (lrclib.net). No account or device identifier is sent. Lyrics are cached on your device.
- Local network. To show lyrics on an iPad, the iPhone and iPad find each other over your local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (Apple's Multipeer Connectivity). This stays in the room and does not go through any server.
- Files. Music files you import are copied into the app on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
Your data and choices
Everything the app stores (drops, track analysis, settings) lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it. You can turn off microphone, media and local network access at any time in iOS Settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
